Settle into your beautiful accommodations upon reaching Haida House . Following a warm Xaayda Gwaay.yaay Haida Gwaii welcome enjoy a gourmet, west coast style dinner. Before or after dinner take time to walk the long sandy beach or explore our 60-acre property.

SKIDEGATE + SOUTH END

Start your day with breakfast before departing for HlGaagilda Skidegate via a scenic drive along the coast, join an interpretative tour of the award-winning Kay Llnagaay Heritage Centre and Museum, or the area’s carved poles; featuring visits to the studios and carving sheds of famed Haida artisans. Finish the day with an authentic traditional Haida dining experience.

K'UUNA SKEDANS

Today’s adventure can be a full-day marine expedition by landing craft to the ancient village site of K’uuna Skedans. Welcomed by a Haida Watchman, you will be guided through the site and learn the history of the village, what the poles represent, and how the people lived.This excursion is seasonal, weather permitting and subject to itinerary change.

Today feel free to explore the area surrounding Tll.aal.Visit our many artisan shops and stores or Tlell Enjoy moderate, relaxed hiking and learning more about the area’s rich ecology, paleontology, and geological history. Or schedule in to participate in a class with one of Haida Gwaii's renowned Haida weavers.

CHOICE OF ADVENTURES

Be off on a kayaking excursion in the south island, pre order a grab and go lunch of soup and sandwich to explore the world renowned beaches surrounding the Haida House.

PORT CLEMENTS

We will also visit the quaint village of Gamadiis Port Clements and embark on a spiritual forest walk to the viewpoint of the historic Golden Spruce, or visit the Port Clements museum and historical society.

NORTH ISLAND DISCOVERY

This can be a day of North Island discovery! begin with a half-day at remarkably beautiful North Beach. After lunch we explore the villages of Gaw Masset and Gaw Tlagee Old Massett. There will be several stops at Haida artisan studios you enjoy a narrative tour of the village’s storied totems.You’ll have the opportunity to include a moderate hike to the top of Taaw Tldáaw Tow Hill for a breathtaking view of endless beaches and Alaskan islands. After a picnic lunch at famous Agate Beach, you will discover the carved pole at Hiellen Village and a browse a series of local galleries and boutiques.

DEPARTURE DAY

After another delicious breakfast, and perhaps a brisk morning trek along the Tlell River, it is time to say farewell. Shuttle to the airport is available for those leaving Haida Gwaii by air.
